Nestled in Ethiopia's far north, the park sprawls across an impressive 2,176 km². Transformed from a wildlife reserve to a national park in 2007, it's a sanctuary for over 50% of the world's Heuglin’s Gazelles and an estimated 300 elephants that gracefully migrate across the border into Eritrea. The elephant migration in Ethiopia, especially during the rainy peaks in May and early September, offers a rare spectacle as these majestic animals journey between nations.

For wildlife lovers, Heuglin’s Gazelle viewing in Ethiopia is at its finest here—an experience unlike anywhere else on the continent.
